Happy Holidays!
Over the 2009 academic year we have had many accomplishments and many new and exciting advancements at the Running Injury Clinic.
Along with several new staff members our research and clinical programs have significantly advanced.
The patellofemoral pain and injury prevention studies for runners are well under way, the Clinic is very busy, and the new 3D Vicon motion capture system is now fully integrated into our clinical practice.
The New Year will bring quite a few new things to the Clinic. Most importantly, we will now offer the only 3D Gait Analysis for runners in North America. No other clinic has this type of scientific assessment and we have been working hard to offer a fully automated the entire process. Thus, our team of clinicians, engineers, and biomechanists will now provide a full assessment, analyze your data, generate your individualized report, and provide our comprehensive recommendations all in a 2-hour period of time.
Please remember to check with the Clinic about new studies, you may even qualify for free treatment of your nagging injury. In addition to patellofemoral pain syndrome, tibialis posterior tendonitis, and knee osteoarthritis, in the New Year we will begin research and free treatment for runners with IT Band syndrome. We will send out more information about advancements in our research and research from around the world in the New Year.
Enjoy the Holiday Season. Stay safe and injury free!
